HELLO, SINGAPORE IS NOT IN CHINA !!!

I have lost count of the number of time I have to say this - Singapore is not located in China. For god sake, repeat after me please :"Singapore is not in China." Not that I have anything against China but a fact is a fact. Singapore is NOT in China and is never part of China.

I am amused that I was forbidden to continue to surf at some Traffic Exchanges (TEs) . "Sorry, we don't allow China members on our site." Surprisingly, this is the second most cited response TEs owners provided. To be fair, the remark is usually from Americans TE owners.  Can't blame them for failing to distinguish which country is which over at Asia region since they are on the other side of the globe. Can We? or Can We Not?

The top of the list reason would be the wrongful accusation of "multiple accounts" surfing (See my earlier post on Woes of Singapore Broadband Users Surfing Traffic Exchange and PTC).

The first reason of shared IP address is understandable from TE point of view, although it is extremely frustrating to be ban and label as cheater for something that is clearly not your doing or fault. Especially when you spend so much time and effort to surf and have not break any rules of the TE including NOT having more than one account. Singapore internet users do think twice before registering to join TE, or simply forget it if you do not wish to experience what I have been through.

On the other hand, the lack geographical understanding by the TE owners is funny. I mean even if you have not heard of Singapore, really you have NEVER heard about Singapore? You can type and google for it can't you?

So where is Singapore then? If it is not in China, is it in Japan? The answer is neither. We are an independent country, city-state, located in SouthEast Asia. It is not ever near China or Japan although we are all in Asia.

Read up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore and use google map to find out Singapore location if you have no idea where SouthEast Asia is. LOL.
